Great Coffeemaker Until It Dies With No Warning

I bought this Frigidaire Professional (FPAD12D7PS) coffeemaker because, except for the 12-cup vs 14-cup, it virtually duplicated the Cuisineart DCC-3200W model in features. I loved being able to set the strength of my coffee, the carafe temperature and the time before Auto-Shut-Off. It was a serious workhorse, producing 2-4 carafes of excellent coffee seven days a week for a tich over one year. But, alas... this morning the Frigidaire Professional decided it's not going to make coffee ever again. No warning whatsoever that anything was amiss. The coffee filter is seated correctly, with a new paper filter and fresh grounds in it... there's water in the water storage area. The water filter is fresh (I change it on the first of each month) and seated well. Hit the ON button and the panel lights up with the little flashing cup... and that's as far as it goes. The plate doesn't get warm, much less hot. No water is drawn through the system and no coffee is made. I even tried to make it go by setting it for a delayed brew, and everything happened just the same. Break my heart. ~~sigh~~

I bought it about 2 months ago, I use it about 5 times per week, and guess what???.......Water filter needs to be replaced. I guess water wont come through until we replace the filter. Coffee maker cost me aruound $79 online. Big regret. Walmarts coffee maker lsst longer than this overpriced product.

Bought this coffee pot online for $39.00 in September of 2018. It is now Jan 11 2019. It worked just fine yesterday morning, but this morning water doesn't want to come through. I worked with it for bout half hour coffee cup is blinking like it's going to but water won't come. So, as I am reading all these reviews and I see I'm not the only one stumped and I'm really annoyed. Glad I didn't pay $100 for it. I Just gave my old coffee pot to my daughters two days ago that works just fine. So, I will probably go buy the same one I had before I know it will last longer than a year.

We bought this coffee maker 2 months ago and it worked good for about 3 weeks! The lights flickered and had to unplug and then reset the whole thing! The beeping to let you know your coffee is done quit last week and this morning the coffee pot just simply quit! We bought this online along with a toaster so now we™™re pretty much stuck with the WORST CHEAPEST MADE coffee pot we™™ve ever purchased! Save some money and buy a cheap Mr Coffee, we had one that lasted 3 years and only paid 20.00 for it.

I have had 2 of these. I like the way it looks, and the features are nice. I especially like that you can choose the strength. However, it doesn't seem to last long. The first one died fairly quickly, and I believe Frigidaire sent us a new one. About a year later, the second one has died too. It just suddenly stops working and says that it needs water even though there is water in it.When it works, it's a great product. I just don't want to replace it again. We went with a different brand this time around.

My experience echos almost all of the reviews of this model. Worked good until it just stopped one morning. We owned it for about 3 years but expected a way longer life for the price paid. I unfortunately will be looking at other brands for a replacement.

We bought the 12 coffee maker a couple of years ago and rarely used it. When we did, it made decent coffee. Finally we started using it regularly about a month ago and today it just quit working. The little coffee flashes, but that was it. It just died an sudden death. It's a mystery.

We were given this as a gift about two years and it has consistently produced great coffee, quickly. We have a very expensive espresso maker that hardly gets used as this machine does it all really. One day it died.... The little coffee cup flashes but nothing happens. Same as all the others here. Plate doesn't warm up either. Does Fridgidaire even read these reviews as this seems to be a recurring theme throughout? Oh well onto an different brand.

Bought this less than a month ago because it had the features that I wanted, i.e., auto and pause but the pot quit working just like I have read many of them have, in less than a month. Very unhappy with product. I also purchased this one because all of my other appliances are frigidaire and I wanted them to match. I only hope they hold up better than the coffee pot did. There was a small paragraph on trouble shooting and it states in manual that they will replace parts but not cover the shipping and handling nor the labor. They already took me for enough I won't spend another dime.

Bought 12/10/2015, died 02/10/2017. A short life but it lasted beyond the one year warranty. Same problem everyone has had. The coffee it made was good but this morning it just did not make coffee. It seems as if a fuze blew or the heating element may have failed. Now we are in the market for a new machine, just not this machine. Too bad, Frigidaire always seemed to have a good reputation, now I wonder.

We've been using this coffee-maker since 2013. It was great until yesterday when it simply did not spout out any coffee nor used the water reserve. It was a sad day indeed.

When my first Frigidaire coffee maker (purchased March 2012) stopped working (suddenly just would not heat up) after having it for a couple years, I ordered another (November 2014) thinking the next would be better. I had some extra water filters on hand, plus I thought it would be good to have an extra glass carafe in case that broke.The second, identical model did not last as long as the first. The exact same thing happened, suddenly just would not heat up any more. The water just sat there in the reservoir. So frustrating, and I hate to just throw both of these into the landfill.

Overall I loved this coffee maker. There were minor issues like 1) the carafe leaked a little around the top edge under the spout when pouring 2) when you lift the top to pour in water, all the condensation dripped down the back of the coffee maker onto the counter. I was willing to put up with these issues because I loved everything else. Two days ago it just quit! The coffee cup flashed on the display but nothing happened. This coffee maker was much too expensive to be quitting after a few months! I have owned much cheaper coffee makers that have lasted longer. Many of them I replaced because I wanted an updated look. Thought I had that with this one.

I like the coffee maker. Works great, easy to program , just have to pay attention if your power goes out, even for a second. Auto timer goes off and you might not know it. The carafe cracked the other day and I'm trying to replace it. Not That Easy. The included manual guides you to the website, first thing that happens when you get there. They ask for a survey. Usually I pass on those this time I did not, but the survey ask me all about my experience on the site. WHICH I JUST GOT TO. Now I can't find the way to order my replacement carafe so I'm filling out this review

I bought this at the end of November 2015 and it was working great. It suddenly stopped working. The cup light flashes like it is going to brew but nothing happens. Very upset. This was an expensive coffee pot.

This by far is the best coffee maker (12 Cup) I have ever owned. It makes perfect coffee, keeps it warm and has lasted over 2 years and still running perfectly.

We have had this coffee maker for almost a year and it worked great. Then suddenly the cup icon began flashing and it does not brew. The bottom heater plate doesn't even get hot.

I bought the 10 cup thermal coffee maker several months ago and am very happy with this product. We previously owned the much maligned Viking coffee maker which we loved and after we knew positively that there were no longer parts available for repair we found this one. I particularly like the feature for a stronger brew. We purchased and returned six different makers before we got this one. I wish it made coffee faster but that was the main problem with the Viking it was fast and the element burned out every other month.

Worked fine up to 2 years, now warranty is expired and product no longer heats water. Seen other similar reviews with the same complaint. Poor quality and will not be purchasing Fridigaire again
