The features that Frigidaire has added to this gas range makes it a better choice than high end models at over twice the price. Built in probe and steam bake/roast features are awesome. Perfect crust on bread. Spot on roasting with the probe. Range top layout is nicely improved by eliminating the old oval center burner and replacing it with two smaller ones resulting in a more usable six burner stove top. You can just do so much with a 30™€ stove top but Frigidaire has figured out how to maximize burner efficiency in the 30™€ space. Well done Frigidaire!

This range is a beauty! So far I really like how the oven heats quick and cooks evenly. One issue is the grates on top of the burners scratch very easily. I already ordered a new set which is covered under warranty within the first 30 days.

Lousy material quality, they sacrificed quality for cost!

We did a total reno of our kitchen and wanted a professional stovetop and oven. This unit looks the part but the quality of the pan below the burners of the stove is absolutely useless. The heavy duty grates are great but they really scratch the finish of the pan below as does ANY scratch sponge. BE SURE to place the grates exactly where they belong or you WILL have scratches. DO NOT USE a green scratcher part of the sponge on this unit as it will leave marks which are NEVER coming out. The burner ring on our model turned a shade of brown after the first use. It looks like it was ceramic unlike the other burners which are metal. Really disappointing. I'm going to have to buy a protector for the stovetop if I can find one. BTW, you can only upload images after you complete the review. Look at the decolorization of the burner ring compared with the others. And the scratches from the grates on the liner.

All the features work as advertised except the simmer setting on the front right burner does not work, apparently it™€™s a dual burner. It always flares out when on simmer or low heat, I cannot get it to work properly. I have had a technician look into it and the problem still persists. It™€™s frustrating, after three warranty calls and the issue is unresolved. My gas pressure is good as I had my gas provider check it. I don™€™t know what the issue could be, my unit might be defective. At the least the design of the burner is poor!

Overpriced and Poorly Designed

Our Frigidaire range (Model PCFG3080AFC) is not quite six months old. The feature that most attracted us was steam cleaning. For quite some time, we have wanted to steam clean the oven and the first time we tried it out, it did not generate any steam. And since there was no steam, nothing was cleaned. How do we know? Following the manual, we poured one cup of water into the bottom of the oven and ran steam-clean from start to finish. At the end the cycle, there was still water in the bottom of the oven. It felt slightly warm to the touch. Thinking we might have done something wrong, we ran steam-clean with the original cup of water two more times. The water did not appear to have evaporated at all. Using a syphon hose pump, we recovered slightly less than 1 cup of water. Clearly, no steam was generated. Thinking that maybe the steam clean cycle might have allowed time for things to cool off, we tried checking water temperature in the middle of the cycle. The water was less than lukewarm and the walls of the oven were only warm to the touch.We called the dealer who dispatched a technician to repair the problem. Unfortunately the technician had not seen this range before and was unfamiliar with the steam-clean operation. He called Frigidaire tech support for help. After running some tests it was reckoned that the oven was functioning as designed. It should be noted that the technician on site did not perform any tests with water. When I pointed out that the water never got hot, the answer was that the unit was functioning as per design.We then contacted Frigidaire customer service who looked up the ticket and asserted that there was nothing wrong with the oven. It was functioning correctly. When we insisted that since there was no steam, it couldn™€™t possibly clean, Frigidaire then dispatched an authorized repair technician who did just about the same thing as the previous technician; again, no water was used in testing. The second technician also contacted Frigidaire tech support. The result was the same. ™€œThe unit is functioning correctly™€. But when we claimed there was no steam, second technician was told that the steam was there, it just couldn™€™t be seen. When I tried to explain how I proved that there was no steam, second technician became annoyed and told me that he was finished, was leaving, and wasn™€™t going to listen to any of my stories.In summary, Frigidaire product support couldn™€™t be any worse. The product has been misrepresented that it steam cleans when clearly, there is no steam. The sides and bottom of the oven only reach lukewarm to the touch. The Frigidaire tech support can only state that this is how the product was designed to work. The repair technicians had no answers. Both technicians could not possibly claim that any cleaning occurred. Evidently, either the oven or its design is defective. We are truly disappointed because the steam feature is what sold us and it patently doesn™€™t work. Frigidaire refuses to acknowledge that fact; rather the blame lies with the customer (us).

I love the two big burners for canning. I would always be switching burners on my old stove with huge canners to get up to temp then boil a sauce. This stove gives me two huge burners. The oven has a pull out shelf like a well made cupboard. It is so easy to use!

Front Right burner doesn't work properly on simmer

The oven excels in every area except the simmer level on the front right burner consistently flares or turns off after a few minutes of cooking, apparently it is a dual burner. It is frustrating as I have had three warranty calls about it and the issue still remains. None of the technicians could fix it. I think my unit or that particular burner is defective. If that's not the case them the simmer function was designed poorly!

New Frigidaire Gas Range

We have had our new gas cooktop/oven now for about two and a half weeks and absolutely love it! The six burners are exactly what we needed and have had zero issues so far. The BTU rating is exactly what it said it was and heats up very quickly and meals come out great! I grew up with a gas stove in the 70's and have missed it since then. Electric cooktops and stove are okay but gas is way better and more efficient. Why we waited so long to convert is beyond me but we will never go back to electric and gas is with us for as long as we can use it.

NO STEAM CLEAN

Have this oven 2 months. Approximately around the 4th week ran the steam clean option. Did not work. 3 visits later an appliance repairman said appliance was NOT repairable. Another appliance repairman was then sent from #4. He called Frigidaire and then we were told oven was operating as normal. So now normal means NO STEAM CLEAN. Then my wife called Frigidaire and they are sending another repairman #5 on Monday. Anything other than a refund or replacement is not acceptable.

Awesome unit! Build quality: Excellent; Performance in all operations: Excellent; Oven Recovery time (maintaining temperature setting): Excellent! The only negative I can think of (which is not a big issue), is that the digital display is slow to respond; there might be an easy fix, but it hasn't, yet, become annoying enough to spend time to resolve.I am a professional chef and I can honestly say that this PCFG3080AF Range can do anything a commercial grade range can do but is impeccably designed to be household friendly and highly capable. NO REGRETS AND HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We bought this particular model to get the air sous vide function, and controlled oven temperatures down to 100 degrees. It certainly delivered on that score, my first attempt at a sous vide brisket was a hit with the family. It's nice being able to do that without a dedicated sous vide cooker.Two minor issues: The 'simmer' setting on the right front burner results in a small flame that moves around the burner, which makes me nervous enough that I don't use it. No big deal, why would I use the most powerful burner on the stove to simmer something?The other issue is that the gratings are just a little tight, and don't quite sit flat unless you push them in. Not a problem once you're aware of it.So, not total perfection, but I'm still quite happy with the stove, it really delivers on the features we bought it for!

This oven is something special. The built in air fryer makes it so convenient to use. It bakes great and roasts even better. It™€™s also easy to clean with the self cleaning modes. You won™€™t regret buying this oven.

Known Defect Issue

Some of these units were sold without the steam clean function programmed. I haven™€™t tried all the functions on my stove yet so there may be others that do not work. Buyer Beware, I have had a technician come out several times and replace several parts. My stove was barely a month old before it became a refurbished unit. I rated it fair becauseit works for what I need daily right now and it™€™s nice looking, but the top stainless steel is soft and scratches easily.

Great products, I have the whole professional line of appliances. Only complaint is I don™€™t like how the stove knob for selecting stove setting works. Feels cheap. Outside of that great products.

We absolutely love our Frigidaire range. It looks sharp and works amazingly well. Wish we™€™d gone with this brand years ago. Both the range top and oven work great, the included griddle plate is the real deal, nice and heavy and toasts sandwiches beautifully. Love this range!

Love, love, love the gas range. 6 burners with multiple sizes including a power burner gives me plenty of option and cooking surface. So happy with the brushes nickel finish under the burners as it makes for quick and easy clean up of splatters and grease as compared to a black or glass surface. Love the dual timers and the oven, especially the oven rack on slide tracks. That™€™s gonna come in handy with big dishes like turkeys and roasting pans. Kids are loving the air fry setting too!

If you could have made it easier to read the writing on the oven control knobs

We have only had this oven for 2 weeks and have not used all the different settings that this oven will do. But so far very satisfied. There are only two issues I have with this product. #1 you should make the oven control knobs easier to read. This is the reason I could never give it 5 stars. #2 not to hard to fix, had to buy stove gap SS gap filler. Our previous Bosch oven had built in counter lips.

Looks good, cooking is good and baking is good. However it seems to be a little rough around the edges: iron on top doesn™€™t fit quite right; one side of oven handle is loose and exposed screw hole (can™€™t tighten it, we have tried), trays inside oven don™€™t fit in top shelf. Love the 6 burners though.

Initial Review - Frigidaire 30"Gas Range

At this point I can only offer feedback on the Frigidaire ordering process and product delivery, as my range is not yet installed and operational as I await a propane line installation and hook-up. I am looking forward to 'firing this bad boy up' and enjoying the many awesome meals and good times that I'm confident will be forthcoming! I found Frigidaire's online ordering process to be intuitive and efficient, and the execution of my appliance order was completed timely and seamlessly. Communication of my Appliance's Order Delivery 'Plan' was straight-forward, and I received periodic updates throughout the shipping process to final destination. Delivery was successfully completed on schedule!One suggestion I have concerns improving shipping communication/instructions for ancillary part(s) included with orders. It wasn't clear to me when submitting my order that the ancillary part I included would be 'shipped separately' and not consolidated with the carrier handling the appliance AND would be sent via USPS. In my circumstance, because the shipping address I provided with my appliance order is supported by delivery providers such as UPS, FedEx, Amazon BUT NOT USPS, it took several phone calls and a big THANK YOU! to the staff at the 'window' of my local USPS office to track down my part 'package' and get agreement to hold it for pick-up rather than to have follow the 'return to sender' path. Thankfully, it all worked out in the end!

Not what I exspected from a professional range and customer support.

Customer support was unable to provide technical answers for LP conversion. Other issues: Lettering on gas level controls hard to see, poor illumination. Front ledge restricts knob view. Front display is only visible when you stoop down or step back. No visible flame height between High and #4. Grates to high above flame, doesn't heat quickly.
