I was genuinely surprised by the quality of the fridge. It is well thought out with good features. It has a lot of storage space and compartments. I am wary about the Home Connect and a data privacy as it is unclear if 24 seven monitoring is really required for a refrigerator. That unit is super quiet compared to my previous unit from a competitors brand.

First off, i'm an appliance repair tech by trade, so i am picky when it comes to my personal appliances. After extensive research, I recently upgraded to this Bosch 800 french door, coming from an old Frigidaire side by side. I mainly wanted the upgrade for the modern look, but also the storage capacity. Considering this is a counter depth model, the storage space is VERY impressive. I easily fit everything from my full depth old fridge into the Bosch, with plenty of extra space to spare. Temperatures are very consistent. Ice maker is fast and my wife loves the shape of the cubes. The stainless steel is very easy to clean and doesn't smudge, unlike other brands i have worked on in the past (Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, etc). I honestly have zero complaints so far!

The Bosch 800 series refrigerator is amazing. The airflow system in the vegetable and meat compartments. Keep veggies and meats, stable and good tasting much better than any other refrigerator we've owned. The icemaker works very efficiently and makes pyramid designed unique ice cubes that are small enough to easily fit in water bottles unlike most other freezers. As we replace our other appliances at home, we will certainly buy all Bosch products from here on. We hate great service from Warren at grand appliance in Castleton in Indianapolis.

I have contacted Bosch in the past with the discoloration of my appliance. Their was per their information after the warranty. I still have this issue everyone that comes over is surprised by the appearance of my refrigerator. It's terrible. Before guess I purchased an oily stainless steel clear that makes it less noticeable.

I never thought I would research so much on refrigerators before I bought this one. The Bosch 800 series is the only refrigerator in its class with separate systems for the freezer and refrigerator. It's super quiet which I like, and it seems to have quick ice production.
Things to look out for:
The large flat surfaces are susceptible to denting, so when it's delivered, make sure you inspect for dings from shipping.
The doors - I wish the door flap was on the left hand door instead of the right hand side. The flap on the right side door tends to pull open the left hand door as well, and makes it take a little more effort to fully close it. IF the flap was located on the other door, and with the majority of people being right handed - it would be a lot easier to open the door without the other one going ajar on a consistent basis.
The door swing is large, so if you have countertops or cabinets that stick out, the door WILL hit it. They provide hardware to limit the door swing that can be installed, but since I enjoy fully opening the doors, I actually cut my counter down with a grinder.
The large middle drawer that takes the entire width of the fridge is a little flimsy and requires both hands to pull open evenly, and without worry of it breaking. This wouldn't be an issue if it was designed to where it didn't have a detent when it's fully closed. I feel that in a refrigerator, you should be able to access all drawers without worry of them breaking and be able to open or grab anything one handed.
So far, overall we love the refrigerator, and feel that we don't let food spoil as much because everything stays at line of sight.

Bought a Counterdepth, works great! Very quiet and ice maker works perfectly. Plenty of room in freezer for what we need . Like the pull out shelf in freezer. Only quesitonable part is the fruit and veggie drawers do not fit tight when pushed in and the snack drawer is a little flimsy

I purchased the Bosch 800 Counter depth fridge. This fridge has been a complete disappointment. Three and a half years into service and it stopped working. Eight weeks into a non-working appliance, and it doesn't seem the extended warranty company is able to fix it. We are currently waiting on our 4th replacement part, and while waiting for that, it has started to leak water onto the wood floors – so likely a 5th part in our midst. Very upsetting, as this appliance was expensive. I expected more from a brand like Bosch.

Our B26FT50sns refrigerator that was purchased in Feb 2020 failed in May 2026. No big deal, just repair it. Unfortunately, the repairman could not source the main control board. When I contacted Bosch, parts informed me that since manufacturing stopped at the end of 2019 and they no longer stock the control board because it is more than 5 years since production ended. This is completely unacceptable for a $3000+ appliance.
My 6 year old refrigerator is heading to a recycling center. I am replacing it with a different brand at a substantially lower price point and a track record of serviceability.

This is a follow-up update to the noise comment with this model which is a ice-making machine. Come to find out, the leveling knobs were not locked down at installation and we put cloth pads under knobs for added quiet....she now purrs like a kitten but roars like a lion (in a good way) making ice!!!! lol!

I cook almost every meal at home for our family of six. I needed plenty of cold storage with high visibility of items- so fresh items don't get buried behind/under other items and then go bad before use. This fridge has the best storage and visibility combo of the dozens I checked at appliance stores. Lighting is great and space is highly functional.

Compressor makes a loud whirring sound when cooling, over 50 dB in volume. Would not recommend purchasing if planning to install in an open-style home where any common living spaces are near the kitchen as the whirring sound will drive you crazy.
Service technician visited and confirmed unit is properly installed/level and "the noise level is consistent with similar models". Would recommend avoiding this series until the improve the compressor quality.

Our son has the same model and we really liked it. we did not hesitate to purchase this as we were looking for a replacement. The quality feel to all the shelves and drawers is amazing. I purchased the Bosch refrigerator expecting a premium, quiet appliance, especially at this price point. Unfortunately, this has been the worst refrigerator experience I've had.
The primary issue is a constant, high-pitched tonal noise coming from the unit. While Bosch advertises this model as "quiet" (around 40 dB), that number is misleading. My unit produces a continuous, clearly audible tone centered around ~800–900 Hz that carries across the room. It's not a soft background hum, it's a distinct, electrical-sounding whine that is extremely difficult to ignore, especially in a quiet home. I've used a decibel measurement tool and the unit is constantly at 45-49 decibels when the fan/condenser is running which is 90% of the time.
This is not a minor annoyance. It's the kind of sound your brain locks onto, and over time it becomes mentally exhausting. For anyone sensitive to tonal noise, this refrigerator is unacceptable in a residential environment.
I had three separate service visits and multiple calls with Bosch customer support. Each time, I was told the unit is "operating within specifications" and that this noise is considered normal. Bosch has conveniently removed any noise specification from the manual meaning it can operate at any level. No attempt by Bosch was made to meaningfully address the issue or offer a solution. I've have never dealt with worse customer service out of any major company for any reason.
The fridge is considerably louder than the 15 year old fridge from a different brand that it replaced. Again the Bosch techs just said this louder refrigerator is normal for new fridges which I cannot believe.
After researching further, I found many other owners that have recently bought this fridge reporting the exact same high-pitched noise and the same lack of support from Bosch. This appears to be a design characteristic of the dual-compressor system, not an isolated defect.
At this price point, "within spec" should not mean producing a persistent tonal noise that disrupts your living space. A premium appliance should be designed for real-world comfort and quality. It truly sounds awful.
Bottom line: while the refrigerator may function correctly in terms of cooling, the acoustic experience is unacceptable, and Bosch customer service has been unwilling to stand behind the product in any meaningful way.
In addition, all the ice it produces fuses together making a huge chunk of unusable ice in freezer. Also, the doors are not smooth at all, you have to force it closed using some effort.
I would strongly recommend avoiding this model and Bosch in general if you value a quiet home environment and a quality product.

Overall the storage system works well and the food temps seem accurate. The freezer shelving can get a little tricky with items getting caught, you need to be careful not to overstuff. The main fridge shelving is a pain to clean, requires full removal to really do it well. But things all fridges

We recently remodeled our entire kitchen. I have always loved the Bosch dishwashers so to match the diswasher we decided to go with all new Bosch 800 series appliances. The 800 series fridge is great because it has two compressors. One for the fridge and one for the freezer. Hoping this will help it last for many years. It's taller then most French Door refrigerators so be mindful of that. Lots of room for a counter depth. Has individual cooling compartments for fruits and veggies. We love how bright and lighted all the compartments are. The freezer door is soft close which is about the only one out there. The drawers in the fridge are a little chincy for a $3500+ refrigerator. The water dispenser is a little slow for us but works ok and the water coming out is nice and cold. Overall we are very pleased with out purchase.

At last I have received my new refrigerator and it is beautiful! It was very well packed. Everything needed was supplied and directions very easy to follow. It is still cooling down so I can't give my final review but at this point the setup has gone smoothly. We have not taken off all the film on the outside so hopefully the scratches we see are only on the film and no further. The two stay fresh drawers are not sealing all the way but it may just need an adjustment.

The B36CT80SNS impresses me everytime I open it. It is quiet and has a well thought out interior making it seem karger. The clear drawers keep items organized and easily obtainable eliminating wasted time searching or stocking. The two compressor design ensures the freezer stays colder without the usual fans and air ducts that were a source of noise and failure on the previous but 15 year old Jenn Air. The two compressors are quiet and can barely be heard when up close.
There was no hesitation when selecting this Bosch product. Had purchased one for my girlfriend two years ago after a Whirlpool failed one year sfter install. Before buying the Bosch, she had ordered and returned every other tefrigerator in Lowe's inventory. It was sad and frustrating between the loud noises, failure to cool, expossed wiring at the lower door hinge, door and drawers that did not close and seal completely. Half of them were dented and damaged so badly the delivery crew did not bother to bring it up to her condo. One even had bullet holes in the door. Altogether, there were 11 attemps of both cheaper and more expensive models The Bosch has been perfect She has never complained which is unususl since she complains about everything including me.
Bosch's reputation, build quality, features (the useless and harmful WiFi can be turned off!), well lit, integrated door stop to keep the door from banging into the wall, quiet operation and so much more made this an easy purchase decision. Our local appliance dealer (Airport Appliance) had it in stock for next day delivery, gave it high marks, and provided unadvertised discounts. All of which made the decision easy, quick, and without any second thoughts. Now that I have mine, and my girlfriend has hers, we encourage everyone who needs a tefrigerator to buy a Bosch.

I've had the fridge for 2 months now and so far, so good! It is slick looking without the water on the outside and the inside is shiny and bright. I took off one star because the middle drawer feels flimsy and is often hard to open with one hand. Additionally, the fridge won't just fall closed, it needs to be pushed firmly to close so the ding ding ding of an open fridge is a daily occurrence in my home. Also, it took me HOURS to get off all the tape and tape residue off my Bosch appliances so that was rather annoying.

I have had this 800 Series French Door Refrigerator or a year and absolutely NO complaints! The ice machine puts out a lot of ice and stays in the bin. Love the size of the ice and all. Love the scoop that comes with it as well. My daughter came and had to order her one of the ice scoops!

I've been using my new Bosch 800 series for about a month now. I really enjoy all the compartments and drawers because it gives me flexibility to organize groceries in ways that are convenient. As a person who doesn't read directions here's a tip - you don't have to hold down the water button on the interior of the unit in order to make it dispense. There's a little trigger that you can activate with whatever you're trying to fill that's hidden in the top of the filling area.

We got 2 of these refrigerators for our new house, wanting something a cut above the standard fridge without spending a ton for a SubZero. We like the clean design and fridge works like, well a refrigerator We have had 2 issues. 1) The doors, specifically the right door or both of ours, don't seal shut as easily as past fridges. We have to push is closed but I still push the door to close and then hear a beeping a minute later as the door isn't fully closed. 2). We had a leak, near the interior water filter leading to ice collecting below the crisper drawer. just replacing the filter didn't fix and we are going to have a repair person come out. The fridge is 2 1/2 years old

I purchased this Boasch refrigerator about a year and a half ago, expecting it to be a reliable, high-end appliance. Unfortunately, the ice maker has already stopped working completely. We purchased an entire kitchen of the bosch 800 series black stainless appliances. the refrigerator which we saw in the store and had the same nice smooth texture as all of the other appliances, did not come that way. the doors all feel like sand paper. if you run your hand over them, it leaves white streaks which is basically dru skin coming off. we had the bosch service people out and also confirmed this is not correct. they ordered new doors twice and those were the same. they advertise as streakless and non marking......not the case. to pay this much for a fridge that you can't clean and feels horrible is ridiculous, after the third visit from the bosch service dept, we were told "sorry, its just the way it is" We will be searching for a new fridge its THAT bad.picture is what happens when you run dry clean hands over the doors.

This Bosch Refrigerator relaced(my wife's idea only) a perfectly good but inoperable Bosch, there are only 2 adults involved, Bosch, in their infinite wisdom, decided to "discontinue our model ", sketchy on the parts", Thus, the new one(again, spouse decision)...more room in the new model, there are only two of us, have to say the ice maker puts out serious ice-I honestly thought (silly me) that Bosch would do the "right thing", but I don't think they are an honorable company.

The little ice cubes are fun and the freezer compartment is well designed. However, we have 2 major issues with the fridge compartment. It only has one small vegetable drawer, below a huge coldcuts drawer. A fridge these days needs 2 veggie drawers. The other issue we've run into is the right side door doesn't close unless you push hard on it, so it is constantly being left open. The app then alerts me to the problem but I really dislike that door. The lighting in the fridge is quite good, and I think veggies stay fresher, longer. But I can't fit many veggies in it. Love the dual compressors. I don't think I'd buy this again because of the shortcomings, even though I'd have to give up the dual compressors.

I did my research and thought I was buying a quiet fridge. I was fine with paying over $3,000 because I thought I was getting a quality appliance. Instead, it makes the most annoying, high-pitched ringing noise I've ever heard. I should've just bought a $100 fridge from walmart and it would be quieter than this piece of garbage. I can't return it because it's past the 48-hour return window at Home Depot. I also heard horror stories of other Bosch customers complaining about the noise and asking a service man to come look at their fridge. Bosch's service person just said it sounded "normal" and didn't fix it and then charged them for a service call on top of that. I am so upset and am telling everyone to STAY AWAY FROM BOSCH. It is expensive garbage.

This refrigerator has been a great addition to our kitchen. The counter-depth design fits perfectly with the cabinets and the stainless steel finish looks sleek and modern.
The 21 cu. ft. capacity provides plenty of space while still feeling organized. The VitaFreshPro drawers do a great job keeping fruits and vegetables fresh longer, and the MultiAirFlow system keeps the temperature consistent throughout the fridge.
The touch controls are easy to use, the LED lighting is bright, and the ice maker works well. The Wi-Fi feature is also a nice bonus for adjusting settings remotely.
Overall, it's quiet, energy efficient, and very well designed. We're very happy with this refrigerator!
